Stake rakeback
Stake rakeback starts at the Bronze VIP level, after $10,000 of total wagers, and returns about 5% of the house edge on every bet you place. The rate grows as you climb VIP levels, although Stake does not publish the percentage for each level. You claim it by hand in the VIP section: VIP, then Rakeback, then Claim.
Semrush ranks Stake.com first in the Gambling category in Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, Vietnam and Indonesia. The rakeback has no wagering requirement and sits next to weekly and monthly VIP bonuses. From Platinum IV, players also get a personal VIP host.
How rakeback works on Stake
Stake rakeback is calculated from the house edge, not from the amount you bet and not from your losses. The house edge is the casino's built-in margin on each game. The formula is:
rakeback = amount wagered × house edge of the game × your rakeback rate
The standard example uses Crash, where the house edge is 1%:
| Step | Value |
|---|---|
| Amount wagered on Crash | $10,000 |
| House edge | 1% |
| Expected casino margin | $100 |
| Rakeback rate at Bronze | about 5% |
| Rakeback | $5 |
Stake rakeback percentage by game
The same 5% returns different amounts depending on the house edge of the game you play. The figures below use $10,000 wagered at the Bronze rate.
| Game type | House edge | Rakeback at 5% |
|---|---|---|
| Crash or Dice at 1% edge | 1% | $5 |
| Slot with 96% RTP | 4% | $20 |
| Slot with 97% RTP | 3% | $15 |
Higher-edge games return more rakeback per dollar wagered, but they also cost more in expected losses. A 5% share of the edge never turns a game into a positive bet. Our house edge guide explains why 5% on a casino and 5% on a poker room are not the same number.
